My 2011 Part V - Late Night Poker
Dec. 16, 2011
Only a couple of after the GUKPT in Luton I had my Late Night Poker heat in Cardiff and I was feeling on top of the world. Everything went great in Luton and was in such great spirits to continue this positive energy into my LNP. My heat consisted of James Dempsey, Padraig Parkinson, Liv Boeree, Ross Boatman, John Taba, Luke Davies and Richard Ashby. My thoughts were I was the strongest player at the table and had the most experience in this format previously winning the UK Open and felt that Dempsey would be my biggest threat. In about ...

My 2011 Part IV - Luton Success
Nov. 13, 2011
Having gotten back into personal training at the gym I was feeling a lot more confident, so I decided to play GUKPT Luton which is only 25 minutes away. I had a training session on the Friday morning and was feeling very upbeat, then drove to Luton on a lovely day with my roof down and in very positive spirits. Oct. 14, 2011
The next event I decided to play was the $10k Highroller in Vienna and as per usual I turned up late but still in time to register on Day 1. There literally were no soft spots in this event, but as they were televising the final table I felt there was definitely value for me if I were to get a deep run. I had an extremely tough player on my left on day 1 – Tobias Reinkemeyer – and also the winner McLean Carr on the table who also played a very strong game. I got through Day 1 ...

My 2011 Part 1 - Australia
Oct. 13, 2011
Well 2011 has certainly been an interesting year for me.
The year started with a trip for me to Australia for the Aussie Millions which was sponsored by my former sponsors Full Tilt. It was the third time I had been in four years and certainly one of my favorite destinations on the poker circuit. The first time I went I got fairly deep in the Main Event, busting 57th for $25,000. In 2010 I had another decent run in the Main Event, finishing 24th for $50,000, and also ended up one of the big winners in the high stakes ...
