The Grand Prix has started this weeks and has 20 day 1's (10 on line and 10 live) into next saturdays day 2. i've been following the the sats on line this week and we have now played 8 of the 10 on line sats. Thus far we have an average field of less than 70 runners and if this average continues then the prize pool generated would only be £70k. To hit the gtd prize pool of £250k they need to average 250 runners over the 20 sats to reach the £250k. by my estimates to get anywhere near £250k then in the 10 live sats then DTD are gonna need a 430 runner average and this certainly aint gonna happen on a bloody school night in nottingham. I play the deep stack every month in nottingham and they tossed in almost £30K in overlay this month and although its appreciated, it does make me wonder how long it can go on for. DTD are running a golden chip competition for this where a holder of a chip who reaches the final table wins a £15k mini cooper, a nice gesture but i cant help think they have missed a marketing oppurtunity. How about roll up roll up we are giving away the eqivalent of Rob Yongs DB9 in overlay.
first post so i thought i better make it a value one regards t & J |

Very interested point made here tbh... I can't imagine DTD will be able to sustain this kind of an overlay for very long at all!
Expect to see some pretty drastic changes made in the near future IMO
