Hello all,

I am relatively new to online poker. I've been playing 6-max HE and working my way up the limits. I am ultimately interested in becoming a stronger online player to generate more $ from my play. I know we live in a day and age of limitless resources so wanted to see what any experienced players have to say as far as where to focus my efforts. I've been reading a few poker books , have cruised a lot of forums, and even searched "how to become a successful online poker player" on YouTube lol (YouTube actually has some useful new vids up). What and where do you (anyone making some $ at online poker) think I should be putting my time and effort? I appreciate any and all feedback.

reading hand history forums is a good place to start, as well as trying to find a few good players who are willing to let you watch them play - it gives you ideas for lines, shows you where their play deviates profitably from yours, etc.  Hand history reviews with peers help a lot as well, gets you thinking in depth about the hands you play.  mark hands in holdem manager for review later and really pay attention when going through them.  the more critical minds you can get on your sessions, the better.

oh, and follow through when trying new things out, from advice or whatever.  make a decision to change something and then change it, don't allow your old game to sneak in before you have seen what the results are!

Basically, if you don't have it already than go and get HEM. Save and go over your hand histories and follow bankroll management. Study as much as you can, play as much as you can and watch as many training videos as you can.

Knowledge is power in this world and to stay ahead of the game you need to know everything about it.
