• Martins graduated from University with a degree in Business and later joined Lloyds banking as a city trader in 2009

• He later quite this job to pursue a career as a pro poker player.

• Quoted as saying - "Ultimately it is a gamble, but it is just a far better lifestyle.
  "I had a good job but I was trying to juggle it with playing poker, which was impossible. "I'd be playing tournaments and not getting back until 3am. Then my alarm would go off at 7am for my job." He added: "There are beautiful women and millionaires everywhere but I am trying to do this properly. I'm not leaving the City for a laugh - this is my livelihood now."
