It’s hard not to be a tiny bit jealous of Patrik Antonius. The Ex tennis player, model, philanthropist and all round poker beast had a fairly tidy April at the high stakes tables. Antonius banked $2,320,431 in April alone, making him online poker’s biggest winner for the month. It was a good month for the Finnish high rollers, with Jens ‘Jeans89/ingenious89’ Kyllonen pocketing a chunky $1.4m. However for every success story there’s always a car crash not too far away; in this instance Andreas ‘skjervoy’ Tobergsen and the enigmatic Gus Hansen were the big losers. Skjervoy dusted off a cool $1.5m in April, and Gus, who’s been having an incredible year online (up until April) managed to lose $964k for the month. Games are still running at the high stakes tables, and although traffic has slowed somewhat due to the US, let’s hope for some more decent action in May.
