So that's it. We're here in Vegas, bags are unpacked, spirits are high and we're about to kick this thing off. In a few hours the $25k NL heads up championship begins and we’re looking for a strong showing from our boys.

The 42nd WSOP will have a mouth watering 58 gold bracelet events on offer. It’s a marathon of poker and we’ll be soaking up every second of it from now until the main event reach the final 9 on the 19th July. Make sure you tune in to the Pokerfarm’s exclusive Vegas content, kicking off very shortly with an introduction to some of the characters taking part in this summer’s series.
One event we’re looking forward to, and something new from the WSOP this year is the grudge matches. On June 2nd, 3 classic heads up matches from main event history will be played out again. Chris Moneymaker, the man widely acclaimed as the man responsible for the poker boom, will be facing his 2003 adversary and Mr Cool himself, Sammy Farha. Johnny Chan will be playing Phil Hellmuth in a repeat of the 1989 final table heads up encounter, and Chan again will be playing Eric Seidel in a rematch of the classic 1988 WSOP match.

Back to the present day though, and we’re feeling good about a run at the first event, with in form Sam Trickett, Luke Schwartz (off the back of a great SCOOP series) and WSOPE champ James Bord all in the mix.
