iPoker splits in half
It seems as though one of the biggest poker networks is going for decentralization of their player pool.
According to an article posted last week on Pokerfuse, the iPoker network is on the verge of splitting their action across the board. The biggest and most profitable skins, which include Titan Poker, William Hill, Betfred and others are to become powerhouse names on a secondary network, completely separate from other iPoker skins. This means that skins that join this initiative will not share any tables or players with other ‘not so well known’ sites.
This is already implanted on Bet365 and sources have revealed that this network separation is starting already next month.
Best bluffing room in the world
You’ve guessed it; Jamie Gold is back and this time with his very own poker room!
The self-proclaimed best bluffer in the world, 2006 WSOP winner Jamie Gold, got himself a brick and mortar poker room in the Tropicana, a famous Las Vegas hotel. Gold, who received the biggest ever prize in WSOP history, joined the venue for the grand opening and participated in the afternoon $500 freeze-out.
This is the first big news about Jamie in recent times and we think it’s quite exciting to welcome him back to the world of poker. His involvement on the poker scene was mostly promoting poker sites and/or his personal business, and apart of some memorable High Stakes Poker episodes – we haven’t heard much from the man himself. Good luck Mr. Bluffer!
LAPT Grand Final – heads up deal made!
According to the official Pokerstars blog, the LAPT Grand Final has made its way down to two players.
The players involved are Daniele Nestola and Gasperino Nicolas, who bested today’s 8-men final table. The biggest name on the table was Pokerstars pro Daniel Negreanu who was considered the biggest favorite, but ended his tournament life in 6th place.
Nestola and Nicolas made a deal, both men will be taking home R$250,000 for their efforts and will battle it out for the remaining R$40,000.
Visit us first thing tomorrow for a recap of the LAPT event and the announcement of the winner!
