Get There........

Our boy Jake Cody just dusted another tough opponent off as he advanced to the semi-finals of the $25k Heads Up World Championship.
After defeating 4 hard opponents including high stakes heads up cash game player Dani "Ansky" Stern and Harvard game theory lecturer Brandon Adams Jake had the task of playing unknown but reportedly high stakes cash player Anthony Guetti. Check out Jake's blog on ThePokerFarm.com where he talks about the tournament thus far and how he is in Vegas to play first - party later.
After initially falling behind, Jake showed classy composure to not get flustered or tilted and eventually took down the Frenchman when his pocket tens held against Guetti's pocket sevens.
Also joining Jake in the final four is Eric "E-Fro" Froehlich, Gus Hansen and Yevgeniy "Jovial Gent" Timoshenko. All players are gauranteed $283,966 but all eyes will be on the illustrious bracelet and life changing first place prize of $851,192.
We are also ITM in the $1500 PLO8. 26 players remain and everybody is guaranteed $8,191. Notables remaining are Jimmy "Freak and a weird guy" Fricke who sits in 5th position and PokerStars pro's Humberto Brenes and Lex Veldhuis who are also fighting for the first place prize of $262,283.

Event #4: $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em attracted 865 players, day 1a has now finished and notables such as Tom Dwan and Daniel Negreanu have bit the dust and only 243 players remain. Leading those players is Gavin Cochrane who managed to accumulate a whopping 174,500 stack which puts him just ahead of circuit regulars Victor Ramdin, Brandon Cantu, Jordan Morgan and Erick Lindgren. This event has been described as Neil Channing as one of the tougher events at this years series and we will surely see some high class play in the coming days. PokerFarms James Bord is still alive and we will report any more progress that we get on the guys.

Event #5: $1,500 Seven Card Stud attracted 357 players and with day 1 coming to an end we have 117 players coming back tomorrow. Although the prize pool is alot smaller than the $25k Heads Up Championship and the $5k NL event, we still have alot of high stakes players looking to bag a bracelet. Tom "Durrrr" Dwan, Shaun Deeb and Eli Elezra are all in the top 10 chips and as tomorrow ends we could have a really exciting final table on our hands.
