Crunch Time for Full Tilt
July 25, 2011, Posted by Pokerfarm
The eyes of the poker world will be transfixed on London tomorrow morning, as Full Tilt Poker's public hearing with the AGCC takes place in the Victoria Park Plaza Hotel. In the last month following FTP's global shutdown, rumours have been rife concerning the future of the troubled operator.
We learnt initially that European investors were set for a buy-out, and as recently as last week heard that a potential investment syndicate was ONLY interested in acquiring FTP's UK and Ireland assets as well as any European facing licenses. Since Alderney pressed the off button on Full Tilt over a month ago we have heard nothing from Ray Bitar, Howard Lederer or any of the FTP management.
The next 48 hrs will be absolutely critical for the future of Full Tilt Poker and come tea time tomorrow we should know how things might progress. It's a nervy time for players worldwide who have money locked up on the site, not to mention the FTP staff and the poker industry as a whole.
We'll be reporting live from the conference tomorrow so make sure you follow us on for the very latest news.
